Stephen, I looked way down this column and reread the post by Outdoor Lady on 3-11-2000 re oil plug and gas tank removal. At that time the plug revision was over 3 years old according to her technician. So most parts folks wouldn't know about it. There are a number of posts down the forum regarding the plug and solutions. When I finally get around to fixing mine, I intend to consider drilling a 3/16" or equivalent mm hole in the plug and put flat fender washers top and bottom with sealant on the bolt and seal edges to stop reoccurance. Seems like some folks have had the plug replaced more than once under warranty. Microsoft would call it a special feature and not worry about it. Max
